Makansutra at SM Megamall

Makansutra - SM Megamall

Who says you need to go to Singapore to have a taste of their famous Makansutra food hawker, just go to SM Megamall and have taste of the different cuisines from - Malaysia, Singapore, India and Thailand. Thanks KF Seetoh for bringing it here in Manila.

Prices starts at 150PHP to 500PHP but definitely all worth a try. The place have plenty of chairs and table and could accommodate I think around 200 persons. You just have to choose which cuisine you'd want to try.

LUNCH!!! :)

So here's what we had during lunch there were a lot of variations on the menu that we ordered and i could say that though it's a bit expensive (not as cheap as the hawkers in SG) the servings were huge. Sharing is encourage if you don't want to get to bloated.

Carrot Cake from Ah Tee

Also known as Raddish Fried Cake, this dish for us would be one of the hardest to find here in the Philippines. There are other restaurants that offer this dish but they don' taste the same as the original radish cakes abroad. Luckily, one store at makansutra captures the original taste so be sure to look for it, theres only one store that offers it at makansutra.

Hainanese Chicken

I guess, this would be the most popular Singaporean food most Pinoy's know. Nothing special about how they cook it at makansutra but still worth a try. It's tasty and gingery, pair it up with soy sauce and ginger sauce and viola delicious goodness that melts in your mouth.

Bah Kut Teh from Adam's Rib

For those not familiar with this its the Singaporean/Malaysian version of Filipino Nilagang Ribs. The difference is that they pair it with steamed nuts and peas as side dish.

Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodles from Mian Ji's

This one would be my favorite but  I couldn't finish it since the serving was huge. The Noodles were fried perfectly and the seasoning was just the right amount.

Chicken Dumpling

Taste like Chicken Kikiam here in the Philippines, still taste okay but a bit dry for my preference.

Milo Dinosaur

The famous Milo Dinosaur from Singapore, this cold drink is made up of Milo ( chocolate powdered drink), mixed with condensed milk topped with Milo powder.
