Gumbo

A Taste of New Orleans
Gumbo - A taste of New Orlean
Looking for a fixed on my seafood craving, I decided to visit one of the seafood shops in SM Megamall Atrium, I was not really considering Gumbo, but during that time they were offering a promo which is buy one take one. With a quick look on the pricey menu, it took me awhile to decide whether I should eat here or not, but since the promo is buy 1 take 1, I told myself at least I could have a taste of 2 of their menu for the price of 1.

The place is not full of people during that time, I guess because of the prices of their food.  Better watch out for promos in case you want to try Gumbo, it could really help you save a lot of money. Moving on, I ordered Bayou’s Stuffed Crab – made of crab meat with celery, bell peppers, onions with special herbs and spices and stuffed in a crab shell. Sounds delicious right?

The serving for the stuffed crab was a lot, about 4 crab shells. But did not really taste any of those listed herbs and spices and crab meat. It tasted more like grinned pork to me. I am a fan of crab meat so I’m pretty sure I know one when I taste one.

The second meal was a Seafood Lasagna – layers of lasagna with shrimps, calamari, and tuna in creamy pink sauce with mozzarella baked to perfection. And yes, it was baked to perfection.  It was tasty and actually enough to feed two people. It was a good meal if you are a pasta lover.

For my side dish, I also ordered a mashed potato. I do not recommend you to order this one. It’s chunky, and not so creamy and buttery at all. The chunks were a bit hard. For my drinks, Elephant Charger is what I order since it’s the most uncommon in the selection. Well, no disappointment for this drink it’s tasty like sweetened guyabano.

On the plus side, they are very abrupt in taking in your orders or any of your demands.Plus free bread while waiting for your orders just like Outback and Sizzlin' Pepper Steak. The servings are also filling but the price is a bit expensive about 250php to 500php, so if promos are available make sure to grab one coupon.
