Food Truck Park PH

Food Truck Park PH

Its BER-month again, this time of the year is the most hectic hours, days and weeks of our lives. The time we have to do slave labor and tons of overtime. After work, one night we decided to take on a different route on our way home – Capitol Commons, Ortigas to be exact. Luckily, there is this Food Truck Park PH – thingy on Capitol Commons we decided to park on the side and try a food truck where most people are queuing.

Similar to New York food trucks on the street (I haven’t been there yet, but I see it on American series that I have watched), I think the idea was taken from that too. The winner of the most queues on that night was Shawarma Bros! I wanted Shawarma Rice and for him Lamb chops and rice, sadly it wasn’t available reason is that there were too much people on the 1st night and it was already nearing midnight. We ordered Beef Shawarma Warps and waited for about 7 minutes. While waiting we walked around the park to see where we can desserts or drinks and we spotted it, desserts will be at Mio Gelati.

While were eating our delicious shawarma at a park bench chair under the moonlight we were being serenaded by live music. We haven’t tried eating at a park so this was a romantic night for me ( forgive me I’m a girl <3 ), I used to just watch things like this on chic flicks but I’ve been experiencing a lot of chick flick moments for almost a year now :D. Anyhoo, the shawarma was delicious, price is at PHP120.00 not so cheap though because most shawarma wraps I’ve tried sells for PHP 65-85.

Forgot to take a picture and took a bite first.

After eating, we went to the truck named Mio Gelati for our dessert, it was gelato time. For PHP 150.00 you get to have 2 flavors, 1 basic and 1 premium flavor. They named the gelato in a funky way; it was really fun to read. Time to try out there gelato, for me I ordered Vanilla and Salted Caramel. For him was Vanilla and Pistachio. Yeah, we are a sucker for vanilla and we are nuts with nuts. The gelato was delicious, soft and not too sweet.

Mio Gelati was the highlight of most of the people there, it was also voted at YUMMYPH star of the night on all the food truck there. We hope to try it again, if time will let us :).
