To celebrate Independence Day, I dragged my friend to the nearest new café in our area it's called Corner Cafe. The owner of the café invited me via Instagram(@nothingbutc), so do follow them because they make delicious pastries and luscious food.

Excited and anxious at the same time we didn’t know what to order, but the lovely mother-in-law of the owner helped us. She told us we can try their Salisbury steak and Dory to the extreme for starters and paired it with iced tea. We ordered their specialty cake of the day a piece of Richman’s cake. Price range is about 150-200PHP for each meal.

The Salisbury steak was moist and very tasty; the marinade used really sticks to every part of the steak. It tastes a bit smoky but just right to tickle you taste buds. Every bite gives you the richness flavors of the Salisbury steak. This is indeed highly recommended especially for meat lovers.

Dory to the extreme has indeed an extreme taste. The Dory is soft but it doesn’t pull out it sticks to the breading so you can eat it nicely. The cream sauce compliments the dory and the veggies. Good thing this was my meal, because my friend loved this meal and almost had to exchange his meal with mine. This one I’d try over and overJ.

The Rich Man's cake was exceptional; it was moist and chewy at the same time yet not that sweet, the chocolate was not too much just perfect for your sweet tooth. I took home a kit Kat chocolate cake since I could not get over the cakes they serve, but too full to eat more so I saved it for later. Corner Café is located at #34 I.S. Senga St. CORNER M.H. Del Pilar St. Calumpang , Marikina. It’s near SM Marikina, if you’re not from here its best to take a tricycle at OTTO shoes pay 15PHP for the whole tricycle and just tell them to take you to Corner Café or the café near San Antonio de Padua Church. If you’re coming from Pasig just alight at San Roque Elementary School take a tricycle, same instruction applies. For those coming from Cubao, Katipunan and Marikina Bayan, alight at General F. Santos St., Calumpang and walk straight that road till you reach the dead end and there you’ll see Corner Café.
