Marikina Carnival Food Park

Marikina Carnival Food Park

A lot of food truck park have been opening here in the metro, it's the best way to eat a lot... since there are a lot of choices in one area. You just have to brave the crowd whenever trying a food park, and go a little early since parking for sure would be jampacked.

Located in Mayor Gil Fernando Avenue Marikina, across Tata Motors you can easily get here by Jeep, tricycle or car. One of the easiest commute I could think of if you're not familiar with the area is alight at Santolan LRT 2 station and ride the tricycle (just tell them to bring you to carnival food park at gil fernando), it's about 40PHP.

Rustic Mornings by Isabelo

Rustic Mornings by Isabelo

It was a busy morning for me and my husband (yes! my awesome boyfriend and I got hitched last 12.20.2014) since we were hosting a few of my friends from Australia who came to the Philippines to be at our wedding. We wanted them to experience a great breakfast and we thought of bringing them at Rustic Morning by Isabelo. Well this is not the 1st time for me and my hubby, the place is quite near our house so if I would manage to wake up early we go here for breakfast.

Corner Cafe

Corner Cafe at Marikina

To celebrate Independence Day, I dragged my friend to the nearest new café in our area it's called Corner Cafe. The owner of the café invited me via Instagram(@nothingbutc), so do follow them because they make delicious pastries and luscious food.

Excited and anxious at the same time we didn’t know what to order, but the lovely mother-in-law of the owner helped us. She told us we can try their Salisbury steak and Dory to the extreme for starters and paired it with iced tea. We ordered their specialty cake of the day a piece of Richman’s cake. Price range is about 150-200PHP for each meal.

Tiyo's Cuisine by Chef and Brewer

It’s been a while since my last article since I’ve been busy with work and other stuff but hey it’s never too late. So this would be my first entry for 2013 (hooray!), I have lived in Marikina since I was born (so that’s approx. 23yrs), and lately there have been a lot of resto popping around our place. One is a few streets away from where I live it is a new resto named, Tiyo’s Cuisine by Chef and Brewer.

Tapsi ni Vivian at Bulaluhan

Last Saturday, with my friend-turned-partner in eating asked if I know a good place to eat around Markina, I quickly flipped through my brains’ yellow pages and I remembered Vivian’s Tapsihan. Since it’s close to where I live, we just took one tricycle and walk a bit. For those who are not familiar with the place it is near Sta.Lucia East Grand Mall, just cross the Foot Bridge and then walk a few meters.

Coco Fresco

Coco Fresco

Recently I was diagnose with Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), mainly because I drink to much carbonated drinks, energy drinks and lots of sodas. 60% of the time I don’t drink water which led me to dehydration and later UTI.

So now, I’m going more natural and organic, also it was the doctor’s advised that I should drink more fluid and water.  I read that coconut (buko) juice could really replenish your lost fluids and is also a good cure for UTI, luckily there was new stall in SM Marikina which is Coco Fresco.

Hai Chinese Restaurant and Bar

Hai Chinese Restaurant
Since Marikina is very close to my heart, I promised her that I would try my best to try out different places and foods found in this area. So there we were, on one, yet another relaxed Saturday looking for a place to satisfy our craving for Chinese food.

The Hai Chinese Restaurant and Bar located at the ground floor of SM Marikina. I could not make out the letterings on their logo, initially I thought it was the same restaurant found in megamall which is HK choi. Then while reading the menu, I found out that it was Hai Chinese.

Cafe Lidia

Cafe Lidia
Cafe Lidia, is just 2 streets away from our house can you imagine that. A great place to eat which is walking distance away. I have often passed by this place which is jam packed with people, car parked at both side lined up, covering almost 3 blocks.

It took me actually a couple of months to visit this place, a bit of sales talk and an offer to pay half of the bill, with my hungry mom, dad and ate we tried out this place.
